The Fighter of the Month

Every month, I will select the fighter who has accomplished the most throughout the month.

Angel Manfredy

The Fighter of the Month for January, is Angel Manfredy. Manfredy out-fought, knocked down and busted up IBF Junior Lightweight champ Arturo Gatti. Although this was a non- title match, Manfredy definately gained a lot from this victory. Now, Manfredy is second only to Genaro Hernandez, in the Junior Lightweight division.

(Honorable mentions go to William Joppy [for his revenge victory over Julio Cesar Green] and Juan Domingo Cordoba [for his defeat of Melchor Cob Castro].)
